Ohio State students perform step routines in China

From practicing on campus to performing in front of crowds on the Great Wall – 14 Ohio State students are traveling throughout China at the beginning of May for a series of Step performances by members of several Greek organizations.

Made possible by a grant through the U.S. Department of State, members of Sigma Lambda Beta, Alpha Phi Alpha and Phi Beta Sigma choreographed Step routines that they will share with audiences in Beijing, Wuhan, Changsha and Shanghai as part of a cultural exchange experience.

The 10-day visit will take the students to the Great Wall, the Beijing 798 arts district, the U.S. Embassy, Wuhan University, the Ohio State-Wuhan Center for American Culture and Hunan Normal University with a final stop in Shanghai.

In addition to State Department funding, the endeavor is being supported by the Office of International Affairs and the Bell National Resource Center. Follow the experience on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram through #OneStepChina and #BuckeyesAbroad.
