O-H-I-O Global Education Scholarship

The O-H-I-O Global Education Scholarship was established in 2016 by the Office of International Affairs to support and encourage underrepresented and diverse student access to Ohio State global education opportunities.  Acceptance or intention to apply to an Ohio State approved Global Education program is required.  In collaboration with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI), five to eight scholarships will be awarded in the amount of up to $2,000 to students who are part of the ODI Young Scholars Program.

Students do not need to have an active application to an Ohio State approved global education program on file at the time of scholarship application. The Office of International Affairs will disburse the O-H-I-O scholarship to recipients during the term of enrollment for the approved global education program in which they participate.

  • Strong preference will be given to first- and second-year Young Scholars who have no prior international travel experience
  • Senior status scholarship recipients must utilize their scholarship before (date)
  • The scholarship may be used for Ohio State approved global education programming only
  • Receipt of the O-H-I-O scholarship does not guarantee admission to an Ohio State approved global education program; recipients will need to submit a separate application for their chosen global education program

Visit the OIA scholarship database for application instructions and deadlines.
