Fulbright Foreign Student Program

Fulbright Foreign Students

The Fulbright Foreign Student Program supports educational exchanges that strengthen understanding and communication between the United States and more than 155 countries. The program has enriched the lives of more than 225,000 men and women and has brought some of the world’s finest minds to U.S. campuses. More than 4,000 new Foreign Fulbright Students enter U.S. academic programs each year. Many Fulbrighters are young professionals who will return to responsible positions in their home countries. They often are involved in building institutions and government service when they return home.

Fulbright Foreign Scholar Program

Each year some 500 faculty and professionals from around the world receive Fulbright Scholar grants for advanced research and university lecturing in the United States. Individual grants are available to scholars from more than 125 countries to conduct research, lecture or pursue combined lecturing and research in the United States.

Prospective Students and Scholars

Individuals interested in becoming visiting fellows or scholars at The Ohio State University should apply through their home country’s Fulbright Commission, or the U.S. Embassy if a Fulbright Commission is not present in country.
