The Road Called Life features three short, animated films based on beloved Korean tales: Yi Hyo-seok’s “When the Buckwheat Flowers Bloom,” Kim Yu-jeong’s “Spring, Spring,” and Hyun Jin-geon’s “One Lucky Day.” Together, these films portray the intricate array of feelings and experiences of people at different stages in their lives. Acclaimed Korean animation director Ahn Jae-huun will open the 2024-25 Visiting Arts Program at The Ohio State University. From Sept. 22-27, there will be a series of events that will encourage students, faculty, and community members to learn about the art form, and develop their skills. Ahn’s visit is cosponsored by Ohio State’s Office of Academic Affairs; Wexner Center for the Arts, Institute for Korean Studies; Department of East Asian Languages and Literature; Department of Art; Department of Design; Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts; Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design; and East Asian Studies Center.
