For first-generation college students, studying abroad is a transformative experience but it also comes with challenges. This session focuses on how international travel can be a powerful tool for building confidence, independence, and essential life skills. We’ll discuss barriers first-gen students face and offer actionable scenario-based exercises to support them before, during, and after their global journey. Participants will learn how to foster personal growth and global citizenship in students who are often pioneers both at home and abroad.
