Description

In an upcoming webinar Richard Vasques, assistant professor, mechanical and aerospace engineering at Ohio State and Ricardo Barros, professor at Rio de Janeiro State University will discuss their research findings related to computational modeling on non-classical neutral particle transport. The project’s theme uses the non-classical generalized linear Boltzmann equation as the mathematical model of neutral particle transport for random statistically homogeneous systems that occurs in the description of photon transport in atmospheric clouds and of neutron transport in pebble-bed nuclear reactors.

Join the conversation as Vasques and Barros share their research developments, publications and student exchanges that transpired as a result of the collaboration. The project was funded through CAPES PrInt, a program within the Brazilian Ministry of Education that supports the internationalization of higher education in Brazil. Learn more about Vasques and Barros’ work.
