If you need a travel signature:
- While it is always recommended that you get a travel signature before leaving the country, you will not need a valid travel signature to depart the U.S.
- If you do not have a valid travel signature by the time you return to the United States, most students will be given an I-515 allowed to enter and then be given 30 days to provide additional information. If you receive an I-515 at the port of entry, please contact an immigration specialist for assistance.
- You can request a travel signature online and it will be sent to you via DocuSign within one to two business days:
If you have a medical or police emergency:
- Call 911 immediately and inform the Office of International Affairs later
If you need work authorization:
- Do not start work without authorization. International students should postpone their start date until immigration specialists can assist you.
If your I-20 or DS-2019 is expiring:
- This could be an emergency. Please let immigration specialists know immediately. Action will need to take place before the expiration date, if possible. If that date has already passed, wait until the Office of International Affairs is open and schedule an appointment with an immigration specialist.
