University implements changes in international agreement processes

Recent updates in the university’s management of contracts have introduced a number of adjustments in the management of international agreements as well. All contracts requiring review by the Offices of Legal Affairs and Business and Finance — including all Memoranda of Agreement, Memoranda of Understanding and Student Exchange Agreements with international institutions — must now be submitted electronically using the updated Contract Management Portal.

In order to comply with the contract management requirements, the process for submitting international agreements has undergone a number of changes, effective March 15.

The Office of International Affairs can no longer accept pre-signed, paper copies of international agreements. All materials must be submitted electronically to Joanna Kukielka-Blaser, who will then submit the agreement and all accompanying supplemental materials through the Contract Management Portal. 

Additionally, all agreements must be accompanied by an electronic copy of the Resource Commitments Approval Memo, signed by the senior fiscal officer from each college initiating the agreement. This document authorizes the Office of International Affairs to approve the agreement in the Contract Management Portal. The template for this memo can be downloaded from the International Agreements section of the Office of International Affairs website.
