Location: CarmenZoom

Join the Brazil Gateway for our third webinar in this summer's series to learn about Brazil's contemporary comics industry. The two presenters will share changes in the comics industry on how they are now published, bought and read. The discussion will help the audience understand basic questions related to the way the Brazilian population engages with comics. They will present some examples of comics and highlight popular artists currently working in Brazil. The audience is encouraged to ask questions.
Speakers:

She works with comics, illustrations and cartoons. She is also a teacher and translator. She has published numerous comics and, currently, she is working on her first graphic novel for the prestigious Brazilian publishing house Companhia das Letras.
