COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

Ohio State is requiring every student, faculty and staff member to be vaccinated against COVID-19. You can read more about the requirement online.

The university’s deadline to have at least a first dose is Friday, October 15, 2021. If you’re receiving a two-dose vaccine, the second dose must be received and documented by November 15, 2021. A limited set of exemptions are available, and the deadline to submit the request is Friday, September 17, 2021.

You should report your vaccination status and documentation, or request an exemption, as soon as possible through My BuckMD.

Vaccination requirements

Acceptable vaccines must be on the list approved by the World Health Organization to meet Ohio State’s requirement.

Students who are minors (under the age of 18-years-old) and have not received a vaccination can now access a COVID-19 vaccine through the Wexner Medical Center.

If you have questions about getting the COVID-19 vaccine, or if you’re unsure that your vaccine meets Ohio State’s requirements, you can send a secure/private message to a Student Health Services provider using My BuckMD.

How to get your vaccination

You can reserve your vaccination appointment at Jesse Owens North or any other location using MyChart, or you can walk in. Visit Safe and Healthy Buckeyes for more information.

Students who do not comply with the COVID-19 vaccination requirement will be unable to participate in on-campus experiences, attend in-person classes or live in university housing beginning spring semester 2022.

Thank you for doing your part to protect yourself and the Buckeye community.
