American University China Association (AUCA) organized a series of virtual and in-person recruitment events in September to support the undergraduate student recruitment efforts. Phoebe You, senior director of the China Gateway and Jacob Chang, president of the Ohio State Undergraduate Student Government, joined a panel discussion on September 15 to share insights on topics including the latest policies on studying in the U.S. and campus safety details regarding COVID-19. The China Gateway also delivered a virtual information session about Ohio State undergraduate admissions with over 100 students participating.

During the AUCA autumn 2021 undergraduate three day in-person events, the China Gateway attended three college fairs supported by Suzhou Science and Technology Town Foreign Language School, China World Academy, International Department of Suzhou No.1 High School of Jiangsu Province and International Department of Zhenze High School of Jiangsu Province. More than 50 local prospective students and parents stopped by Ohio State’s booth. Staff from the China Gateway answered questions about majors, campus life, academic and career opportunities at Ohio State.

The China Gateway also attended the AUCA International Education Forum on September 25 and interacted with international education experts.
