2018 Community Engagement Conference Call for Proposals Proposals are now being accepted for Ohio State’s inaugural Community Engagement Conference, taking place January 24-25, 2018 in the Ohio Union. Building on the success of the Extension Annual Conference and the university’s Engagement Forum, the conference will bring together faculty, staff, students and community partners to focus on professional development and networking, while exploring new potential engagement partnerships. The theme of this year’s conference is Partnering to Advance Health and Wellness. Proposals are due October 30, 2017. Submit a proposal and learn more at engage.osu.edu/conference.

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) will begin a new system for signing in and queuing students and scholars who walk in for advising hours or their appointments. This system will be paperless and will automatically alert the international student and scholar team when visitors sign in at the front desk.

Scholars STILL must schedule their appointment online or contact a scholar immigration coordinator before coming in to Enarson. Once scholars arrive at Enarson, they will use the new appointment kiosk to sign in.

How to use the appointment kiosk:

  1. Approach the monitor located at the front desk
  2. Swipe your BuckID (if you don’t have a BuckID, click on No BuckID and search your name by lastname.#)
  3. Select the unit you are there to see
  4. Select your appointment type: “I Contacted a Staff Member Directly” or “I Scheduled Online”
  5. If you contacted a staff member directly, select the staff member with whom you have an appointment
  6. If you scheduled online, select the time for your appointment

If you have any questions or need assistance, please ask the receptionist for help.
