Purpose/Objective

  • In accordance with a mutual desire to promote further cooperation in higher education between Wuhan University, Wuhan, P.R.C, and The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio (USA), the mentioned institutions have found it mutually beneficial to initiate a series of cooperative activities that may include:
  1. Exchange of theses, teaching materials, and other scientific and technological literature;
  2. Research collaborations, in the fields of mutual interest, especially in the fields of natural science, social science and business management as well as cultural and language studies.
  3. Exchange of faculty, scholars, and students for lecturing, advanced studies and research and;
  4. Encourage other academic exchanges and cooperation at the college and department levels.

 

Duration of the Areement

  • This MOU shall take effect from the date of last signature hereto and shall be valid for five (5) years. It will be in force from 30 March 2016 to 30 March 2021. It may be renewed for additional five (5) years if both institutions, acting independently, agree in writing to renew it at least six (6) months before it expires. It may be terminated by either party by giving three months’ notice in writing of its desire to do so to the other Party, subject to the proviso that any ongoing projects under the MOU will be allowed to continue to their conclusion.
