BlrAlumniGathering2019 webBangalore was the  location for our first alumni networking gathering in the new academic year. It turned out to be a fantastic day on June 16 for alumni to connect with local Buckeyes. The gathering witnessed a diverse group of professionals with different backgrounds and broad work experiences. Engaging activities were planned for the morning including a group activity that centered on topical discussions in areas of healthcare, academia, business and operations, technology and start-ups. Alumni teamed up within their expertise areas for engrossing conversations and sharing key trends and top challenges they see as well as things they learned at Ohio State that have helped them professionally.

The India Gateway team shared the latest updates around activities  in India. The meet up concluded with a group picture that illustrated everyone’s true Buckeye spirit!

SPJIMR FCOBStudents in the post graduate management program at the SP Jain Institute of Management in Mumbai participated in a weeklong immersion experience at Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business.

As part of Fisher’s annual Center for Operations Excellence Summit, students heard from global business leaders and visited industries to learn about latest trends, leadership traits and cultural changes required for creating an environment of excellence in organizations. Through a networking dinner at Ohio Stadium, students were able to connect with students and faculty from Fisher as well as area business leaders.

MIQ FCOBThe Fisher College of Business Center for Operational Excellence signed a Memorandum of Understanding – its first with an industry partner in India – with the Mahindra Institute of Quality on April 2. Aravind Chandrasekaran, associate professor, and Peter Ward, professor, at Fisher, and Manoj Garai, business development manager at the India Gateway, were instrumental in solidifying the partnership.
