AAPI AwardAmerican Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) hosted its eleventh Global Healthcare Summit at the JW Marriott hotel in Kolkata from December 28 – 31, 2017. The major initiatives of the summit were engaging with healthcare professionals and West Bengal government officials in collaboration with Union Ministry for Health and Family Welfare and several leading professional associations to enhance skills and exchange knowledge and best practices. The goal is to address major diseases and make quality healthcare affordable and accessible to all people.

Priya Kurle, assistant director, Manoj Garai, international corporate manager from The Ohio State University India Gateway, and Rahul Karad, vice president and founder of Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), discussed a long-term collaboration for the Certificate of Operational Excellence program on December 21, 2017.

MIT is among the top engineering colleges in India. Outlook Magazine ranked MIT Pune as first in Maharashtra and eleventh among the finest private engineering colleges in India.

Alumna Visits U.S. University Alumni FairUnited States-India Educational Foundation arranged the U.S. University Alumni Fair on December 17, 2017, at Sayaji Hotel, Indore. Aditi Rajput, Ohio State alumna represented The Ohio State University at the fair and hosted information sessions for prospective students and interacted with parents and students who are interested in studying in United States.

The fair was hosted by the U.S. Consulate General, Mumbai in association with USIEF. Aspiring students interested in pursuing their higher education in the U.S. attended this fair, and students from the undergraduate level through the post-doctoral level attended the fair.
