Take a survey and support students in need

Ohio State is conducting a study on the impact of COVID-19 on teaching and learning. Students and faculty are invited to participate and help benefit the university’s Margaret Herlan Busch Student Assistance Fund.

The survey, available at go.osu.edu/covidsurvey, is a joint effort by the University Institute for Teaching and Learning, the Office of Student Academic Success, the Center for the Study of Student Life and the Office of International Affairs. It is open now through May 15.

The survey takes 5–10 minutes to complete and will help Ohio State better understand the stresses and challenges that students and faculty experienced this spring when the coronavirus outbreak led the transition to online classes.

Participation from students and faculty will also benefit the Margaret Herlan Busch Student Assistance Fund, which will receive a $10,000 donation, in appreciation of students and faculty who respond to the survey. The Busch fund provides financial assistance for students who need urgent help to pay rent, buy groceries, or purchase supplies for courses.

Similar surveys will be conducted at peer institutions to see how different responses to COVID-19 affected student and faculty transitions to online learning.

International students have been asked to complete an additional survey. Information has been emailed to your Buckeyemail account.

If you have questions, contact reach out to osas_rpa@osu.edu.
