Career Fairs in China

“I am currently participating in several job interviews,” said Tingni Chen, a graduate of the Fisher College of Business in May 2022. “I can apply what I learned from this career fair to avoid making mistakes.”

Since 2016, the China Gateway has been joining other top U.S. universities at career fairs organized by the American Universities’ China Association. The fairs have been held virtually and in person to connect employers with students who have an interest in career opportunities in China.  The China Gateway has provided support for Ohio State undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni, who are seeking both internships and full-time positions.

Ohio State students were invited to attend the virtual career fair series this spring where 37 international and local employers participated, two career skills workshops on resumes and interviews were held, and four panels shared information about the finance, e-commerce, technology, manufacturing, medicine and healthcare industries.

Chen indicated the career fair was very well-organized and interacting with the employer representatives was most beneficial. “The interviewers from the invited companies are very professional. They also provided helpful advice on my resume writing and career development path.”
