March 18, 2019 – Ohio State is aware of an ongoing incident originating in Utrecht, Netherlands. Ohio State has no known students studying in the city of Utrecht. The university has reached out to other students studying in the Netherlands and they have affirmed they are not in the area of the incident. All travelers are advised to refrain from travel to Utrecht today and to monitor local security updates from @Politie and local media.

January 15, 2019 – Ohio State is aware of an ongoing incident originating at the Dusit hotel complex in Nairobi, Kenya. Ohio State currently has no known students traveling in Kenya. Ohio State is actively monitoring the incident and following statements and reports from the U.S. Department of State, Overseas Security Advisory Council and the university's insurance security providers. Determinations on adjustments to any scheduled student travel to Kenya will factor information from these resources.
