Recreational Sports

Recreational Sports at Ohio State offers many different opportunities to be physically active!

Students who are enrolled in more than four credits are automatically charged a membership fee each semester to use all of the facilities. Students who are enrolled in three credits or less may purchase a membership at a student fee. Memberships can be purchased by faculty and staff members for partners, spouses, and children. There are both indoor and outdoor facilities for your use.

The Faculty Staff Fitness Program (FSFP) is offered exclusively to the Faculty and Staff of The Ohio State University to promote physical fitness and wellness.

Recreation Facilities

Adventure Recreation Center (ARC)

The Adventure Recreation Center (ARC) is a recreation facility on west campus that has turf fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts and various exercise equipment. Family hours are available after a current Ohio State faculty, staff or student registers their family members. These special family hours are available for free on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Attached to the ARC is the Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC), which features a climbing center and can provide assistance to create adventure trips.

Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC)

The Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) offers many recreational and miscellaneous services such as a sports shop, a kids zone, fitness space and equipment, activity space, massage therapy, personal training and aquatic center. Visitors can dine at the Courtside Cafe or Juice2 located inside the RPAC. Family hours are available after a current Ohio State faculty, staff or student registers their family members. These special family hours are available for free on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
