Thanksgiving Day Dinner at Ohio State

One of the largest Thanksgiving Day dinners on a college campus will be hosted by The Ohio State University on Thursday, November 24 at the Ohio Union, 1739 N. High St. The annual event will be held for an estimated 2,000 guests – students, faculty and staff, along with their families – who are unable to travel to their own homes for the holiday. Over 150 volunteers from throughout the university community will assist in serving the traditional turkey dinner.

There will be two seatings for dinner: Noon and 2:15 p.m. Guests must have a ticket to enter. Tickets will be available for pick up while supplies last on Monday, November 14 through Wednesday, November 23 at noon at the Office of International Affairs in Oxley Hall, Room 100; the Frank W. Hale Black Cultural Center; and the Ohio Union Info Center. Those attending this year's Thanksgiving Dinner should enter through the west doors of the Ohio Union. Parking at the Ohio Union garage will be free to visitors on Thanksgiving.

The event began as a gathering for 25 graduate students at the Frank W. Hale Black Cultural Center and today includes broad participation from students who live outside Ohio as well as many international students.

Thanksgiving Dinner is a Signature Event at Ohio State and is supported by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, the Office of International Affairs, University Residences and Dining Services and The Ohio State University Alumni Association.
