Global Gateways Summer Programs

The Ohio State University offers exciting summer programs for international students seeking to experience life at a top American university.

These non-credit programs are based on Ohio State's main campus in Columbus, Ohio and feature authentic classes, cultural excursions and a great chance to make new friends from the United States and around the world.

Overview of the Ohio State Experience: Learn more about Ohio State and why you should choose one of the programs below and apply before April 15, 2016.

  • Pre-College Experience Program: This program is for high school students to get a pre-college experience at Ohio State and explore why (and how) you should apply for an undergraduate degree.

  • College Experience Program: This program is for current undergraduate students to experience a top United States university and explore why (and how) you should apply to get a graduate degree here.
    • When you apply, indicate which track in the brochure – business, humanities or sciences – you want to join. View the course descriptions.
  • Public Health Summer Institute: This program introduces undergraduate students from around the world to the five fields of graduate study offered by the College of Public Health.

*Traditionally, many summer program participants have come from China, so some materials above are provided in Chinese and English for the benefit of Chinese parents. If your parents speak a language other than English or Chinese, please help them to understand the programs. We will be happy to translate the materials into your parents’ native language if 10 or more applicants’ families speak that language.
