First Year Experience

The Office of International Affairs has partnered with First Year Experience to include the Study Abroad Expo as part of the First Year Success Series. The Success Series helps to promote student success by offering short courses on the common concerns and questions first-year students have during their transition to university life. As one of the Success Series events, the Study Abroad Expo can help first year students to complete a survey class requirement and to learn more about when, how and why it is important to study abroad during their time at Ohio State. Students who attend the Study Abroad Expo will have the opportunity to speak with program providers, faculty Resident Directors, student past participants and staff advisors about the different ways to study abroad at Ohio State. To earn credit for attending, students must demonstrate that they have taken full advantage of the resources at the Expo by completing a short "scavenger hunt." Interested students are asked to check in at Table 32 upon arrival to collect the necessary documents. Once they have completed the scavenger hunt, students’ BuckIDs will be swiped and attendance taken. More information can be found at fye.osu.edu.
