Study Abroad and International Experience

As a student of The Ohio State University I studied in the Dominican Republic (Dominican Republic: Agricultural and Environmental Sustainability in the Caribbean) and China (what is now China: Food Safety, Security and Production). I also served 26 months as a volunteer in the United State Peace Corps in the Republic of Moldova (Eastern Europe). During my time in the Peace Corps and after I was fortunate enough to be able to visit many countries throughout Europe, as well as Israel and Turkey.

Favorite Place to Travel

Because I speak Romanian and understand the culture, I enjoy traveling in Romania and Moldova.  I enjoy traveling in the country/rural areas more so than large cities, so I remember my time on the Dominican Republic’s beaches and on the coasts/mountains of Greece fondly. My favorite cities are Krakow, Poland and Thessaloniki, Greece.

Favorite Aspect of Ohio State

That no matter how far away from the University you go, you will likely find a Buckeye or a connection to a Buckeye.
