Ohio State’s Global One Health initiative (GOHi) is in the process of publishing findings and recommendations for COVID-19 mitigation in Ethiopia in its “Active Surveillance and Contact Tracing of COVID-19 in Ethiopia” report.
Through this project, GOHi worked in partnership with the Government of Ethiopia (GoE), Ethiopian Public Health Institute, Ministry of Health (MOH), Regional Health offices, Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC), and the CDC Foundation to support active surveillance and contact tracing of individuals with COVID-19 in Ethiopia by hiring, training, deploying and managing 81 surveillance officers in all regions of Ethiopia.
