The Ohio State Global One Health initiative releases activity and impact report

The Global One Health initiative (GOHi) works globally to solve the toughest health challenges of our time by expanding the capacity for a One Health approach to more efficiently and effectively address causes and effects of diseases at the interface of humans, animals, plants and the environment via applied education, training, research and outreach.

Initiated as a veterinary medicine pilot project in 2007, GOHi attracted partners, funders and interest, and was formally established as a university initiative in 2016.

GOHi is part of the Office of International Affairs and involves 13 of Ohio State’s 15 colleges, eight professional and administrative staff in Columbus and three faculty directors, nine full-time and 81 contractual employees at our Global One Health, LLC, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The GOHi Activity & Impact Report for 2016-2020 highlights the initiative’s accomplishments, partnerships and ongoing efforts that support and advance a healthy, enduring global community.
