The Alumni Club of Brazil has launched their own website, with the support from the Ohio State Alumni Association and the Ohio State Brazil Gateway, to better engage alumni and friends in Brazil.

"We at the Ohio State Brazil Alumni Club expect to reach and congregate a significant percentage of Brazilian alumni with the release of this digital tool," said Roberto Abramson, president.

The Alumni Club of Brazil was officially launched on September 23, 2020. A virtual event hosted by the Alumni Club of Brazil, along with the Brazil Gateway and the Ohio State Alumni Association, introduced the club’s leadership.

Close to 40 attendees joined the celebration, which included a warm welcome from Angha Childress, executive director of international advancement, and Molly Ranz Calhoun, president and CEO of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, an introduction to the club’s leadership board, a special talk from alumnus Michel Hartveld, Engineering 1962, CEO at 5aSec, Rio de Janeiro, and networking time in smaller breakout rooms.

In addition to the newly created website, the club also shares information via email to those alumni who register as members (free of cost register), LinkedIn group, and Facebook page. If you are a Brazilian alum from Ohio State living in Brazil or anywhere in the world and would like to be a member of the club, complete the online registration form. Email brazilgateway@osu.edu or brazilalumni@osu.edu with any questions.
