Save the Date: CAPES PrInt Workshop with Brazilian Universities

The Brazil Gateway and the Center for Latin American Studies will host two virtual workshops for graduate students and faculty interested in pursuing research projects with Brazilian universities, November 17-18 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The workshops will showcase the CAPES PrInt program, which supports graduate student and faculty exchanges financed by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel of the Brazilian Ministry of Education. CAPES-PrInt offers funding for graduate students, faculty mobility opportunities and serves as a network to establish research connections.

CAPES launched PrInt in 2017 by awarding 36 Brazilian universities grants totaling $60 million over a five-year period to foster reciprocal academic and research opportunities for graduate students and faculty in Brazil and their international partners. Ohio State is a partner with six Brazilian universities as part of the CAPES-PrInt program.

During the workshops, Ohio State faculty and graduate students and their partners at the University of São Paulo (USP), São Paulo State University (UNESP) and the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) will share case studies in diverse research areas.

See the details for session one on November 17 and session two on November 18.
