Professor Awarded a Fulbright U.S. Scholar Grant

Stephanie Hoffer, professor in The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, is the recipient of a prestigious Fulbright U.S. Scholar Grant by the U.S. Department of State. Hoffer will be affiliated with Vienna University of Economics and Business in Vienna, Austria, where she will research Tax, Disability, Work and Community: Can a Human Rights Framework Inform Other Countries’ Use of Tax Laws to Further Integration?

As part of her research during spring semester 2018, she will meet with tax experts to explore distributive justice, tax and disability to gain a better understanding of human rights as they relate to tax. She will then use this information to draw comparisons between legal systems with the hopes of creating a normative framework for the use of tax laws to promote integration of individuals into the workplace and community.
