Knowlton School of Architecture Alumni gather via Zoom

Alumni in India gather for virtual meet-up.

Alumni of the Knowlton School of Architecture gathered for a virtual meet-up in August. Nine alumni from six different cities in India joined the virtual networking event to share memories of their time on campus. Organized by the India Gateway, the Knowlton event was the first Zoom-based alumni event hosted for Buckeyes in India.

The engaging session included discussions about contemporary topics in the field of architecture and also reflections on Knowlton and the university then and now. Buckeyes fondly recalled their favorite places on campus, shared anecdotes about college life and noted the substantial impact of the professional training received at the Ohio State. Since the alumni who logged in for the meet-up represented graduating classes from 2006 to 2017, they had common experiences of life at Ohio State and studying in Knowlton Hall, that was dedicated in 2004.

The attendees discussed how the global pandemic has led to numerous changes and challenges in the field of architecture. They noted the importance of adjusting and adapting to the shifting trends and the need to better meet client’s expectations.

The meet-up concluded with the India alumni proudly sharing their Buckeye memorabilia in a virtual group photo.
