Samson Girma is currently a researcher at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute and a PhD Fellow at Addis Ababa University.
He is currently involved in one of the GOHi’s projects titled, “The Assessment and Management of Risk from Non-typhoidal Salmonella, Diarrheagenic Escherichia coli and Campylobacter in Raw Beef and Dairy in Ethiopia (TARTARE)," which is funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the U.K. Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.
The project aims to develop and implement a risk-based framework for food safety management and resource allocation with the goal of reducing foodborne illnesses and deaths and increasing equitable consumption of a safe, affordable and nutritious diet.
