Dimitris Tatakis

Dimitris Tatakis, professor and graduate periodontics program director in the College of Dentistry, has been awarded a 2020 – 2021 Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award to Viseu, Portugal.

Tatakis will be teaching the post-graduate periodontology course at the Catholic University of Portugal Institute of Health Sciences and contributing to the academic activities of the Integrated Master’s in Dental Medicine program during February – May 2021.

“I hope to establish research collaborations between the Ohio State College of Dentistry and the Catholic University of Portugal Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Health,” Tatakis stated.

Tatakis also serves as the director of Global Initiatives at the College of Dentistry.
