Shaniqua Ingol honored with Ohio State Police Citizen Award

Ohio State’s Police Division (OSUPD) presented Shaniqua Ingol with a Citizen Award for her outreach programming that engaged international students and Ohio State’s police officers. Ingol is a program coordinator for global engagement with the Office of International Affairs.

Ingol collaborated with OSUPD to host several events aimed at connecting officers and the community, including “Pumpkins, Peace and Police,” “Cooking out with Cops” and “Pedal with Police.”

Ingol was nominated by Officer Cassandra Shaffer, who also was recognized for her achievements and received the Officer of the Year award.

“I am so honored for this opportunity,” said Ingol. “I hope this will inspire people to continue bridging the gap between the officers and the community, creating a true Buckeye Nation.”

“All of us here at the Office of International Affairs are really proud of Shaniqua and her accomplishments,” said Megan Lawther, global engagement program manager. “Her initiatives have a tremendous impact in bringing the Buckeye community together.”
