Apply to be a Signature Events Student Chair - Deadline Extended to April 4

If you are a student interested in putting your organizational and leadership skills to the test, then apply to become the chair of one of our signature events - Thanksgiving or Taste of OSU. The Office of International Affairs is accepting applications from students who want to learn more about running a planning committee, budgeting, time management and communications. The deadline to apply has been extended to Monday, April 4.

Overview

The Study Activity fee helps support 21 Ohio State Signature Events, which are some of the most popular and well attended events on campus. Events under the direction of the Office of International Affairs include, Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 24, 2016 and Taste of OSU on Friday, February 17, 2017.

Since these events will be partially funded through the Student Activity Fee, the planning committee for each event will be chaired by a student. The student leader will be paired with an International Affairs staff member who will serve as their advisor throughout the planning of the event.

Applicants for the Thanksgiving co-chair position should be rising juniors and seniors. Students interested in applying for the Taste of OSU chair-elect position will need to be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in spring 2018.
