IntBuckeye Training

International Buckeye is the Ohio State University’s portal for immigration services relating to international students, scholars, faculty and staff at Ohio State. When inviting new scholars to Ohio State, Human Resource Professionals (HRPs) must compile all necessary documents and upload them into International Buckeye.

In order to gain access to International Buckeye, HRPs must complete two in-person trainings and one online training, which are offered through BuckeyeLearn, Ohio State's learning management system for faculty, staff and student employees. To complete the curriculum, HRPs must complete the following steps:

  1. Click on the link titled launch the International Buckeye curriculum below (you may need to log in with Ohio State credentials)
    • This link will automatically register you for the International Buckeye curriculum and launch the curriculum
  2. Register for and attend the two in-person trainings, H-1B: Immigration Process and Procedures and J-1: Immigration Process and Procedures
    • Note that it may take a day after you’ve attended the sessions for your BuckeyeLearn transcript to reflect your attendance
  3. Once you have attended the sessions, the online training video will be unlocked
  4. Successfully complete the online quiz following the training video
  5. After completion of the online training, you will receive an email from the Office of International Affairs that contains next steps for requesting access to the International Buckeye system

For step-by-step guidance to completing the International Buckeye curriculum through BuckeyeLearn, download the manual. If you are ready to start your training, launch the International Buckeye curriculum.
