International Student Advising via Email and Phone

The Office of International Affairs is implementing new ways to advise international students through the end of spring semester. We will offer our services via email and phone except for emergency travel signatures.

For the majority of our services, the most efficient way for OIA to assist students at this time will be via email. Forms can be accessed at oia.osu.edu/forms-and-handouts and can be scanned and emailed to iss@osu.edu.

In addition, Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT) workshops have been canceled through the spring semester.

Students should call or email before coming to the office in person. Efforts to reduce in-person advising is to protect the health and well-being of students and staff. Processing times for services may take up to five business days and responses to emails and phone calls may be delayed.

Resources for emotional support are available through Student Life's Counseling and Consultation Service. If you have any questions about coronavirus and impact on travel, please forward them to travelreporting@osumc.edu. Should you have any immigration or travel-related questions, please contact the Office of International Affairs at iss@osu.edu, and to stay abreast of recent travel restrictions, visit the U.S. Health and Human Services website. Additional guidance can be found on the World Health Organization website and the Wexner Medical Center website.
