Taste of OSU 2017 Award Winners

Congratulations to all of the student organizations that participated in this year's Taste of OSU. Everyone greatly contributed to making it a huge success.

Taste of OSU is an evening filled with performances on stage, cultural exhibits and food from around the world provided by more than 30 different international and ethnic student organizations on campus. More than 4,000 students, faculty and staff attended this year's Taste of OSU, which was held on Friday, February 17 from 5 - 8:30 p.m. in the Ohio Union.

 

For the food competition, judges evaluated dishes on variety, flavor and presentation. The winners of the food competition are:

Somali Students' Association - 1st Place
North and South Sudan Student Association - 2nd Place
Bangladesh Student Association - 3rd Place

When judging the cultural exhibits, the judges looked for innovation and design, and if attendees walked away having learned something new from the culture that helped dispel any stereotypes. This year's winners of the booth competition are: 

Indian Students Association - 1st Place
Saudi Students Organization - 2nd Place
Arab Student Union and Orginization of Arab Students - 3rd Place

Student organizations are also awarded for selling the most tickets. This year's winners are:

Armenian Student Association - 1st Place
Bangladesh Student Association - 2nd Place
Urdu Club - 3rd Place
