Software Changes will temporarily disrupt services offered by the Office of International Affairs

The Office of International Affairs (OIA) will soon introduce a new software system, iBuckeye, which will enhance services for international students, scholars and departments. With this new system, students and scholars will be able to upload documents, submit forms and make requests electronically to our office making most requests paperless and less time consuming.

iBuckeye is scheduled for implementation on December 6, and additional functionality will be rolled out in phases. Updates will be provided regarding the phases as they are implemented.

During the initial phase of data migration and installation, which will be November 30 – December 5, in-person advising will be unavailable and responses to email and phone calls may be significantly delayed.

Additionally, due to the change in software systems, departmental requests to OIA via the Scholar Center will end on November 22.  As a result, department representatives compiling materials for J-1 scholars and H-1B employees must complete and submit all the case materials through the Scholar Center by November 22, or start the case again in iBuckeye after December 6.

Trainings for departmental representatives to gain access and learn how to submit J-1 and H-1B cases through iBuckeye will be offered November 13 and 15.  More information will be forthcoming about how to register for one of these sessions.

We appreciate your patience as we undergo these software changes and become fully operational under iBuckeye.
