Purpose/Objective

  • In accordance with a mutual desire to promote further cooperation in higher education between the United States of America and Italy, the University of Cagliari, Cagliari, Italy, and The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio enter into this formal agreement for the purpose of educational and cultural exchange.
  • The two institutions have found it mutually beneficial to continue and expand the following cooperative areas:
  1. Exchange of theses, teaching materials, and other scientific and technological literature
  2. Research collaboration
  3. Exchange or study abroad programs that include undergraduate, graduate, and professional students
  4. Exchange of faculty, scholars, and students for lecturing, advanced studies and research
  5. Collaboration on topics of mutual interest through joint workshops, symposia, training and experiential activities, etc.

 

Duration of the Agreement

  • This Agreement will be in force for a period of five (5) years from November 2, 2016. It may be renewed for an additional five years if both institutions, acting independently, agree in writing to renew it at least six (6) months before it expires.
