Purpose/Objective

  • The Transformational Leadership Program – Scholarships and Partnerships is designed to increase participants’ understanding of the United States, as well as give them the opportunity to complete master’s degree programs in their chosen field of study, participate in community service, and pursue unpaid internships. World Learning oversees this program on behalf of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and Government of Kosovo.

University Roles and Responsibilities

  • The host institution will provide tuition discount as noted in Section IV
  • Guidance to WL and students on course registration and applications for on-campus housing and meal plan (if available)
  • Provision of an international student orientation and assistance in coordinating the World Learning phone orientation with students upon arrival
  • Assistance providing contacts to identify local community service and internship opportunities

World Learning Roles and Responsibilities

  • Payment to University of each student’s academic tuition (as outlined by Section IV) and mandatory fees
  • Processing of U.S. Department of State J-1 visas for each student
  • Regular monitoring of the student’s progress and reporting to USAID

Duration of the Agreement

  • This Agreement will be in force for a period of three (3) years, starting in August 2016 and ending in May 2018.
