Purpose/Objective

  • The purpose of this MOU between the Institute of Chemical Research at Kyoto University and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The Ohio State University is to formally acknowledge the relationship between the two entities and to set forth an understanding by establishing a framework between the parties that will govern future interactions and provide a clear understanding of each organization’s roles, responsibilities, and expectations. Collaborative activities may be funded by sources available to each party or by joint grant projects.
  • This agreement will generally promote activities in the following principal areas:
  1. Exchange of students
  2. Exchange of faculty and staff
  3. Collaborative research, instructional, and cultural programs
  4. Intellectual property rights
  5. Information exchange

 

Duration of the Agreement

  • This agreement will be effective for five (5) years from the latest signature date: 7 March 2016 to 7 March 2021. It may be renewed for additional five (5) years if both institutions, acting independently, agree in writing to renew it at least six (6) months before it expires.
