Purpose/Objective

  • Consistent with the cordial and cooperative bilateral relationship between USA and China in order to foster additional academic and scholarly collaboration between The Ohio State University on behalf of its College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, (Columbus, Ohio, USA) and Jilin Agricultural University (Changchun, Jilin, China) hereinafter referred to as the ‘Parties’ or singularly as ‘Party’, these two post-secondary institutions have agreed to the following framework based upon principles of mutual equality and the reciprocity of benefits:
  • The Parties will make sutiable arrangements to facilitate cooperation regarding international study broad opportunities, exchanges and internships focusing on undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, faculty members, researchers, staff and administrators. The primary area of focus for this framework relate to production and protection of agricultural crops and animals with emphasis on maize and soybean breeding, animal nutrition, and their production and protection management.

 

Duration of the Agreement

  • This MOU may be modified (and further elaborated upon by appended material) by mutual written consent and will be in effect from 02 September 2014 to 02 September 2019 for a period of (5) years. The MOU may be terminated by either Party within six months of written notice.
