Autumn semester 2020 announcement

The Ohio State University intends to resume in-person classes this autumn semester. Courses will be offered in a variety of formats—some will be in person, some will be online, and some will offer a blend of in-person, online and other activities.

The Office of International Affairs is aware there will be logistical challenges for our international students currently overseas to return to Columbus.

Currently, embassies and consulates are slowly resuming their visa services, but many students have reported issues in securing timely appointments. Due to COVID-19, international flights have been severely limited and travel restrictions for certain countries are still in place.

Additional guidance from the relevant government agencies, hopefully, will be forthcoming soon. In the meantime, view answers to frequently asked questions regarding arriving on campus, and please continue to monitor the updates and recommendations from the university’s COVID-19 Transition Task Force website.
