Hospitals across Columbus offer classes on everything from childbirth to taking care of your newborn, as well as hospital tours that give you an in-depth look at what to expect on the day you deliver. After you leave the hospital, their consultants are available to help you with any postpartum issues like depression and breastfeeding.

The Family and Birth Education programs at Riverside can help smooth your transition into parenthood by giving you the knowledge and confidence you need for the successful delivery and care of your baby. Programs are low-cost or no cost and financial assistance may be available to get the help you may need.

The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center

The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center offers pregnancy and childbirth classes, as well as maternity tours. The maternity department is located on the sixth floor of Doan Hall inside the main University Hospital. The maternity classes are located at the Thomas E. Rardin Family Practice building.

Columbus Health Department

Provides comprehensive pregnancy care services and well-women's health care. Services provided by physicians, nurse practitioners, public health nurses, social workers, nutritionists and outreach workers. Childbirth and breastfeeding support classes are offered.
