Attend this information session to learn more about the Talking Treaties & Ravine Echoes: Ways of Listening & Learning at the Toronto Biennial of Art program. This program in decolonial arts education will examine the intersection of global contemporary art, Indigenous knowledges, environmental justice, histories of settler colonialism, and decolonial listening at the Toronto Biennial of Art. Following the biennial’s deep commitment to amplifying the work of international and local BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists, aligned with pressing issues of environmental justice, students will embark on a careful and critical investigation of the work of participating artists and their impact on the cityscape, landscape, histories and contemporary life, arts, and culture of Toronto. Open to all majors and taught in English.
Registration for the session is required.
