The Panama: AgriCulture and Sustainability program (formally known as Panama: Through the Lens of AgriCulture, Sustainability, and Diversity) explores different perspectives of agricultural and environmental sustainability issues within a socioeconomic and ethnically diverse context. All students will enroll in 4 credits of FAES 3797.05 for the autumn semester, which counts as a Lived Environments course in the new GE themes. Over winter-break students will travel to Panama to visit cultural and historic sites, including the Panama Canal, a variety of animal and produce farm, and meet with locals to learn about the agriculture and environment of Panama.
