Eager for a hands-on scientific research experience? Students will stay at the Gerace Research Center on the Bahamian island of San Salvador during their spring break. This field course is designed to provide unique opportunities for students to examine first-hand the geology and natural history of diverse ecosystems on the small Bahamian island of San Salvador, connect with their surroundings during the international field experience, and discover the impact humans have on the island. Students will enroll in EARTHSC 5252, a 4-credit Spring 2024 seminar, held Mondays at 5-7pm. To be eligible, students must have taken an introductory earth science course or an equivalent.
