Do you communicate well with people who don't speak the languages you speak? Fábio Leite, associate professor in Experimental/Cognitive Psychology at Ohio State Lima, will lead a workshop in four virtual meetings. He will use his experience and the model of intercultural competence developed by Professor Darla Deardorff from Duke University to lead participants in reflection exercises aimed at improving participants' abilities to adjust culturally.
This series will benefit those considering studying, researching or working in the United States or abroad, as well as those working with culturally diverse teams. Leite, a Brazilian living in the United States for over 20 years, has been a professor in psychology at Ohio State for over 15 years and is also the author of "A Long Way From Bitingui: A Journey within the Americas."
