Cargill Global Scholars Program

IMG 3618Cargill and the Institute of International Education are accepting applications for the Cargill Global Scholars Program. Ten scholars will be chosen from the United States for the seventh cohort of the Cargill Global Scholars Program. Attend the information session on January 18, 1 p.m., in E100 Scott Lab for application tips and to learn more about the program.

The scholars will receive:

  • Annual scholarship award of $2,500 for up to two years
  • Fully funded travel and participation to attend two Leadership Development Seminars held during summer 2019 and summer 2020
  • In-person networking with fellow scholars from Brazil, China, India, Indonesia and Russia
  • One-on-one mentorship from Cargill executives in the United States and abroad

Students in the following fields of interest are encouraged to apply:

  • Agriculture
  • Business
  • Computer Science
  • Economics
  • Engineering
  • Food Science
  • International Relations
  • Political Science
  • Public Policy

Applicants must be in their freshman or sophomore year of undergraduate studies, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and demonstrate high academic performance and leadership potential. Application deadline is March 1, 2019.
