Community Development Study Abroad in HondurasBuckeyes participating in the Community Development study abroad program in Honduras are learning about Honduran issues related to agriculture, education and international development through community outreach and education about agricultural needs and practices. Stay in touch via their Study Abroad Honduras Blog.

A major project students are working on is to create learning modules and work with local, Spanish-speaking instructors, to teach local residents how to create a community garden. The education abroad program is organized by the Department of Agricultural Communication, Education, and Leadership in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.

Four Ohio State students shared their education abroad story as part of the 2017 Celebration of Students Recognition program. College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences Buckeyes Ryan Miller, Hillary Kordecki, Natalie Miller and Gage Smith tell their story about learning around the world.

Curitiba, Paraná;Ohio State has partnered with Brazilian Experience to offer a semester of cultural immersion in Curitiba, Brazil at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR). The city of Curitiba (population almost 2 million) is the capital of the state of Paraná, the largest city in the southern part of the country, and it is a "sister city" of Columbus, Ohio.

The program will start on January 23, 2018 and end on June 29, 2018 and will fulfill the GE requirement in foreign language in one semester. Students will take three intensive Portuguese courses plus two culture courses taught in English for a total of 18 credit hours.
