Kate Greer soaking up Europe"Summer 2018 changed my life. I was blessed with the opportunity to use the knowledge and perspectives the past two years at Ohio State have given me to explore what awaits beyond Ohio and American borders," reflects history and German double-major Kate Greer who studied abroad on "The U.S., Europe, And The Second World War - Interactions In 20th Century History." Students from diverse disciplines and backgrounds took courses in the spring semester, meeting frequently in a small-class setting to exchange ideas, to discuss their research, and to prepare for the three-week tour of World War II sites, memorials and museums in Europe during the May.

European Model of Sport education abroad"Along with touring sporting facilities in Germany and the Czech Republic, we got to also see a lot of historically significant landmarks in both countries," reflects sport industry major Alyssa Hoying. A synchronized swimmer student-athlete, Alyssa studied abroad on the European Model of Sport program this summer.

"We really enjoyed getting to learn more about their history stemming from WWII and how sport has influenced them throughout it as well. The group we went with was so fun! Dr. Turner and Dr. Graham were a pleasure to have leading our trip. The students embraced the schedule of our packed trip and we made the most out of everything they had planned for us!”

Erin Langermeier visits Bayern Munich stadium"Not only did I get to learn about sports in Europe and explore cities/countries I have never been to before, but I had the opportunity to meet and build a relationship with Ohio State students that I did not know before," reflects junior finance major Erin Langermeier about her experience on the European Model of Sport education abroad program.

In order to study how the sports industry differs in Europe from the North American systems, students visited multiple facilities, including the soccer and basketball stadiums at Bayern Munich, the Olympic Park in Munich, the 02 Arena in Prague and all the Olympic facilities in Berlin.
