Ohio State and Huazhong Agricultural University Sign Agreement

Building on existing agricultural collaborations, The Ohio State University and Huazhong Agricultural University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen joint training of graduate students, establish study abroad programs, expand research and exchange findings. On May Chongguang Li, Vice President of Educational Administration, and William Brustein, Vice Provost for Global Strategies and International Affairs, made the collaboration official.

Located in Wuhan, Hubei province, Huazhong Agricultural University is one the top two agriculture universities in China. Ohio State has collaborated with the Huazhong Agricultural University College of Fisheries and Aquaculture in joint training of graduate students, exchange of scholars and collaborative research projects in aquaculture research and education for over seven years.

Additional members of the Huazhong Agricultural University delegation included, , Heng Jiang, Director of Office of Academic Affairs, Mimi Cui, Deputy Director of Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Xiangping Xiao, Deputy Director of Office of Academic Affairs, and Hongxia Zeng, Associate Dean of Foreign Language School.
