Ohio State Continues International Collaborations in the Medical Field

21510627890 .picRoman Skoracki, division chief of reconstructive oncological plastic surgery and professor of plastic surgery at the Ohio State Department of Plastic Surgery, and Ronnie Campo, associate executive director of destination medicine of the James Cancer Hospital, traveled to China from October 24-29. They visited Zhejiang University-affiliated Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital in Hangzhou. Skoracki spoke about  management strategies for postoperative lymphedema in patients with breast cancer at the 12th Annual International Academic Week at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital. Campo visited Hangzhou Normal University and introduced the Ohio State cancer program. During their visit in Shanghai, Skoracki performed a surgery demonstration at Fudan Cancer Hospital, and gave lectures on the surgical treatment of lymphedema at Fudan Cancer Hospital and Zhongshan Hospital. They also explored the potential for faculty  exchanges, collaborative seminars and international conferences with hospital partners.
